We want to hear your voice: Submit your work for April's Drop the Mic
On April 19, The Hook honors Sexual Assault Awareness month by featuring work from survivors, people who know and love them, and anyone else who has been impacted by sexual assault.
To make sure we represent an array of voices and perspectives, we are collecting work for this special Drop the Mic. We will get back to everyone who submits and let you know if we can fit your piece in the show; we'll make room for as many voices as possible but may not be able to use all the work we receive.
Please submit any genre of work (poetry, spoken word, monologue, essay) that is 3 minutes or less when read or performed. Please time yourself! Put your name and contact info on your submission. Submission deadline is April 3, 2017. Writers will be notified of the status of their submission by April 7, 2017.
Although we do not offer compensation at this time, the work will remain yours and no work received will be published, distributed, or reproduced without your express permission.
Thank you all of you who are willing to speak up and speak out. If you need support, please contact the Riverview Center.
